I’ve been obsessing over the gorgeous camisoles from CAMI NYC for weeks now so I was thrilled when they sent me one to style. I’m all about mixing textures and I love the combination of a silky camisole with a plaid shirt. These Sole Society heels are some of my favorites because they are so comfortable and leopard is huge for fall. I love an outfit that is easy and chic, and this silk cami will take me right into fall (I’m thinking fashion week).
It’s no secret I am beyond thrilled about all of the plaid swirling around for fall. Plaid for me is a year round staple, but there are some particularly fabulous pieces out for next season whether you want to be fully decked from head to toe or you’re just looking to add a hint of the print to your wardrobe.
DRESSES & SKIRTS
FRENCH CONNECTION CROC LUXE SHORTS C/O // FRENCH CONNECTION INA SANDALS (ON SALE!) // J.CREW SILK CAMI (ON SALE)// BRAHMIN MINI DUXBURY IN ST. GERMAINE C/O // SOLE SOCIETY NECKLACE // CAPWELL + CO NECKLACE // COLE HAAN SUNGLASSES
I mentioned earlier this week that black has become a major part of my wardrobe. I love these French Connection shorts because of their croc print. It’s an unexpected take on basic black shorts. They are perfect to wear now and they will be super cool in the fall with ankle booties and a chunky knit sweater. To make wearing black on black a little more edgy mix in pieces like statement necklaces or wear different fabrics and textured prints, like pairing silk and croc print or leather and denim.
I am ALL about the midi skirt for fall and this pleated version is no exception. It’s such an easy style to pair with anything -sneakers, flats, heels, tees, a sweater, a blouse- the list goes on really, and no matter what it always looks chic. All of a sudden I’m noticing a lot of black in my wardrobe, not sure how it snuck in there, but I have to say I really like its versatility. And this skirt is the perfect example of a great piece to transition into fall because seriously how cute would this be with ankle boots like these and a cozy knit sweater?! Anyone else loving the pleated midi skirt as much as I am?

I finally felt better over the weekend so I was so excited to get dressed and go out on the town. Craig and I made the mistake of going downtown to eat dinner on Saturday night and it was insane, so many tourists! We ended up going to dinner on Broadway instead which was nice and mellow. I was really excited to wear my new Madewell high waist skinny jeans that I got while I was in NYC. They are so comfortable and flattering, I am really tempted to get them in every color. I love these plaid heels from Sole Society so much I honestly want to order another pair just to have a back up. A woman driving by while we were taking pictures actually put down her window and yelled to me asking where I got them! I think I’m going to get the flats too. Happy Monday everyone!
Is there anything worse than being sick in the summer? I don’t want to get all Debby downer on you guys but I’ve been sick with a cold all week and I’m really hoping it’s the end of it so I can enjoy one of the last weekends of summer! Since I’ve been bed-ridden for the majority of the week I’ve had plenty of time to online window shop, and pick up a few things along the way. Here’s to hoping this cold takes a hike so I can get back to my daily swim routine.
The ASOS sale is insane right now. Basically everything is 50-70% off. These are some of my favorites:
I have been OBSESSING over this blue coat by BB Dakota from Piperlime. It’s under $150! Definitely at the top of my list for fall. My love of distressed denim also continues and Piperlime has a great selection.
While I was in New York last week I picked up these Madewell high riser skinny jeans and I literally want them in EVERY style now. They are so comfortable and the fit is literally perfect.

Fall is definitely my favorite season for beauty, maybe because my skin always tends to be on it’s best behavior. No more sunscreen clogged pores or irritation, for a few months my skin is bright and clear, not too dry or too oily. I love this look because it’s natural and easy to re-create. I’m all about a bold brow and natural wavy hair for fall. I just started using Yves Saint Laurent foundation and I absolutely love it. It gives skin that dewy natural finish without looking like you’re covered in makeup. To maintain those beachy waves after summer I always turn to Alterna beach waves spray. It doesn’t make hair crunchy or weigh it down but helps give you those natural beachy waves you get after a swim in the ocean. Subtly highlight cheekbones with Nars The Multiple in Orgasm and finish with the Lancome Brow Pencil to define those brows. And speaking of beauty, I’ve teamed up with a great group of bloggers for a $300 Sephora gift card giveaway.
You can enter daily over the next 2 weeks and earn bonus entries by sharing the giveaway with your friends on social media. Good luck!
